I've searched for info on renaming a Miraheze wiki, and I see a whole lot of different info (most of which is scary). Our project recently renamed itself from EdCARe to EdSHARe, so I'm contemplating the wisdom of renaming the wiki accordingly. Can you advise me on what you think the best path forward is? I can probably get away with leaving it alone. I could certainly get away with a reflector from edshare.miraheze.org to edcare.miraheze.org, if you support that. Any advice welcome, and if I missed a single coherent description of my options I'd very much appreciate a pointer to the page. Thanks as always for providing this great service, and for being willing to answer questions!

Hi there.
Just to clarify, do you want the name of the wiki changed, or the domain? If it's the former, you should be able to navigate to Special:ManageWiki/core and rename the project. If it's the domain, this is the appropriate venue.
Also, on another point you mentioned. Did you request the wiki with the subdomain that it is currently, or was the wiki requested with the original subdomain and then changed randomly somehow? If you could link to the wiki request, that would probably help a lot.

Sorry, I expressed myself rather poorly. The project (working group of people) for which I created this wiki changed its name from EdCARe to EdSHARe. I created the wiki when the group was named EdCARe and therefore created edcare.miraheze.org. Depending on how painful it is, we would like to change that to edshare.miraheze.org. Your questions prompt me to also say that if there are places that will automatically continue to be displayed as edcare or EdCARe we'd in the ideal like to see those change to edshare or EdSHARe. Is that clearer? I'll be happy to link to the original request if that's useful, but I'll have to dig it up and am about to head into a meeting so I'd have to do that later. Thanks for your help!

No worries at all, it makes a lot more sense now.
It's not painful at all, though it may take a few days depending on how much our SRE members are backlogged. I would recommend if you haven't already, head to Special:ManageWiki/core and change the name of the wiki to what you'd like. Changing edcare.miraheze.org to edshare.miraheze.org shouldn't be an issue at all.
