WikiForum inaccessible; would like to access a page I created
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

Hello,

For about (I believe) a year now, the WikiForum extension has been unusable as, looking at its page, it seems it poses a security risk. It's still present on the wiki I work on (Mental Block), however it's not possible to access it, and even re-enabling it doesn't seem to allow me to see its pages.

This is not a huge deal in and of itself, as I don't necessarily want or need an extension like this, however I did write, back when it was still up, a page containing the basic rules of the wiki that we wanted to implement. I could rewrite it, but as I'd spent some amount of time on it and it had specific formatting that was nice, I'd like to be able to access this page if possible, in order to export it as a different page that the users can visit. Is it still possible to access these old WikiForum pages somewhere, or have they been long purged?

Thank you.

You can use the Wayback Machine to attempt to find old pages that have since been deleted/lost; in this case, there is an archive of your old rules page: https://web.archive.org/web/20220727172551/https://mentalblock.miraheze.org/wiki/Special:WikiForum/Rules_of_the_website_%28READ_BEFORE_POSTING%29. However, there's no way to import it into your wiki apart from copying the text and reconstructing the markup; since database maintenance is currently ongoing, you should do that in a text document and copy it into your wiki when maintenance concludes.

Thanks, that worked fine! Had no idea anyone had bothered archiving the page.
