as far as i found, its not possible to force all external links of ones own wiki to open up in a new window - cause you have to go into the LocalSettings.php to do this:

so only mira admins are able to get this to work right?
if so, i would be happy if you can set it up. if there is another way to force all external links open in a new window, please let me know.

@Tiv please provide the wiki you wish this to be enabled on so it can be enabled just for that wiki.

and what do I have to do there in detail? i tried different options but its not working. I only see
External Link Target ($wgExternalLinkTarget) - this i switched to second option with no other result.
I also got "Article Count Method ($wgArticleCountMethod)" but pretty sure this is managing something else...
so how do I have to go from "links tab" step by step pls? thx
and as far as I searched some weeks ago, its not generally implemented to force all external links to open in a new window. the solution - as far as i know - i found and posted above. but that has to be done by admins.
Setting $wgExternalLinkTarget to _blank (the second option), should do what you're asking; if it isn't working as expected, then something else is amiss.
