Extension AddThis for wiki Christipedia
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Dear administrators,

I would like to have the extension AddThis ( https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:AddThis ) implemented on our wiki Christipedia. Configuration:

  • The AddThis bar should appear in the headers of all articles in the content namespace (which is the deafult setting).
  • The bar should contain the buttons: e-mail, facebook, twitter and google_plusone.

Greetings from Kees Langeveld.

OK, this extension is approved. Not that I like it at all. But hey, I have two browser extensions that block AddThis, so no worries on my end.

The only thing I'll add is that under the Miraheze Privacy Policy, it's mandatory that any wiki using this extension notes it in their wiki's privacy policy, because you're effectively sharing user browsing data with a third party without restrictions. There are no real limitations on how much user data a wiki can leak under the Miraheze privacy policy, provided that Miraheze isn't the party doing it and all of the leaking is documented.

Security approved for install.
