Reset 'Can View' for T1747
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Can view is currently 'Amanda' for T1747. The user has been previously warned not to touch related values.

This is

  • an actionable task for ops to unlock the constraints, also
  • a warning for the user not to do this again. If we ever find such thing again, I'm going to impose a temporary ban on the user on phabricator instance. If you need to use Phabricator for personal reasons or any reason unrelated to Miraheze, or something that cannot be shared to Security, use your own instance. We are not hosting Phabricator. If you're looking for one, use Phacility.

Event Timeline

The task as it currenty looks like: F635977

The task is a tracking task for me to track issues on Miraheze platforms that cannot be immediately managed by Miraheze. I noticed that many users have personal calendar projects for such tracking, such as revi and NDKilla, but I do not have permission to create such a project for myself.

Amanda lowered the priority of this task from High to Normal.
revi removed Amanda as the assignee of this task.
revi raised the priority of this task from Normal to High.

This is your final warning if you undo my re-open, I will immediately disable your account for two months. I'm being extra generous here.

If you do not want me to have private Maniphest tasks, create a project for me like you and NDK have

Amanda has been created, but remember you should not touch any ACL value or my last warning still stands.

Also, you should've file a phabricator task for such thing. We do not know you want it until you say it.

You should not restrict project creation to admins, so that all users can create their personal timelines

Blame Upstream. I'm not willing to loose the restriction.

Why can't project creation be open? What's the point of the restriction?

For the record, I am in progress of setting up such a thing, but it's taking me a long time because Phacility instances don't have CL access and thus managing the config is a lot harder.
