Description

As of now, I'm the only user (also administrator and bureaucrat) on my newly created wiki, (karrot.miraheze.org). Before I'm posting content, I want to be able to control the rights granted to the users and to the non-users. From what I understand, this right already comes with the bureaucrat role. It is possible that I just don't understand how to change these rights. But it is also possible that I do not have my promised right and there might be other functions in the Wiki that may not work and I am unaware of, so I ask someone to please check if there are any problems. The main thing I want to with this (currently) is to make non-users unable to preform any action other than reading.
I also want to know if there is a way to make all people who want accounts on my wiki have to be confirmed by me before they get accounts. If there isn't, I would appreciate the addition of that feature.

Hiya!

You can grant users extra rights by adding them to groups on Special:UserRights. You can also prevent non-members from being able to edit your wiki by enabling the "Private" mode found on Special:ManageWiki. This also allows you to restrict the accounts with access to your wiki. However, this will also prevent non-members from being able to read pages on your site.

If you'd like non-members to be able to read, just not edit, let me know and I can set this up for you. :)

Yes, I want to reading to be public but people have to ask me for the other privileges.
