@Gkatom You need to point your domain to us by changing the nameservers.

@MacFan4000 Since I could not do that, i went with the second option of adding the CNAME and pointing it to "mw-lb.miraheze.org" . as mentioned on : https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/Custom_domains

@Gkatom Your domain is not pointed to us, so I cannot generate a certificate.

@MacFan4000 I am new to this, Could you help me understand this? Cause I followed the steps of the link, and you can see that by clicking on the URL wiki.dobots.nl , it actually points to the Miraheze.

Unfortunately DNS isn’t my area either. :(

@Gkatom Hi. Since you only want the wiki subdomain, you need to do

Add a CNAME on the subdomain you want (e.g. "wiki."), and point it to "mw-lb.miraheze.org";

Also, please note that if you are using Cloudflare, you have to disable HTTP proxy in Cloudflare dashboard (cloud in the DNS should be grey!) because it interferes with our cache and SSL configurations.

If you need specific help about adding the CNAME please tell me.

Guys, they’ve done it. It works for me.

@Reception123 Maybe that was it, I disabled the HTTP proxy. My entry on cloudflare looks like this:

@John Yeah, probably the HTTP proxy thing, it always does that for Cloudflare.
