@revi I will be looking into implementing cp3 as soon as possible (using Snapshots or any other proposal) so that we can decomission cp3.

No activity since July except for a mention in the recent blog post, therefore this is stalled.

This isn’t stalled on anything

It is stalled seeing as if we got rid of cp5 before we can move to cp3 then Asia would have to go through cp2 which means slower loading.

Seems there's no progress on cp3.

This is my 6 months notice that I will stop paying cp5 after 2019-07-01.

Ok, thank you. That is by far more than understandable, you have already done so much by offering to pay for cp5! Thank you!

Now, with @labster we must decide whether Miraheze would potentially take over payments for cp5, in the case that WMID still does not update us on cp3.

If it would help, I can take over payments for cp5 indefinitely. It would just depend on whether or not the server could be transferred to my Linode account without downtime.

That would be very appreciated, if you are sure that you want to pay for it :) We're still hoping on cp3 though, as cp5 was always supposed to be a temporary measure until cp3 came (which is being delayed). Downtime would not be an issue, as this is a cache proxy, so all it would cause is slower loading for users in Asia for a short period of time.

Bump.

For clarity, my final payment date is 2019-06-01.
