Only operations members can delete databases.

we typically don't tag deletion requests with Database and any sysadmin can run the deletion script (not just (Site Reliability Engineering)

But the context of this task is immediate straight deletion right now, not "technically remove then delete in a few months" as standard so it is an ops-only task.

@MacFan4000 mw-admins should NOT be running any delete wiki scripts or rename wiki scripts.

We can run the script but not drop the DB @Paladox what the script does is reversible until the DB is dropped

Like for a DP deletable wiki an mw-admin can delete it technically, and an op can drop the DB later

the script merely removes a couple entries from the DB afaik. It doesn't drop the DB or remove the images from NFS. All you would do is re-add the CA entries and the cw_wikis entry. The DB will still exist until you DROP DATABASE.

But mw admins could not re add the entry’s?
