Add SPARQL endpoint to nbdbwiki
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Hi! Would it be possible to add an interface to query nbdbwiki using SPARQL? I don't know how the installation of this extension/add-on works, or if it's too complex, but it would be a nice addition so that the data from this wiki can be more easily re-used in the sister wiki nonbinarywiki (using a graph-generation extension, for example) as well as in third-party software (such as a Discord bot we have) or just as a stand-alone interface to get data. I'm aware of the wikibase API, but as far as I know it does not allow listing all items with a specific statement, for example.

Thanks in advance, whatever the answer is! :)

This requires us to install the "blaze" service. Which we have no resources for.

There's this extension https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:LinkedWiki (but uses query.wikimedia.org).

Ok, I understand, no problem.

Having read the IRC answer to Rhinos I think I might have not explained me very well. What I would like to do is install a SPARQL endpoint on the nbdbwiki so that the data from this wiki can be used in another wiki. As I understand it, while LinkedWiki can be installed, it can't be configured to use a miraheze wiki for the queries. Is that correct?

Yup, from the example shown, LinkedWiki use the query service (blaze graph).

I'm not sure how we would provide "SPARQL endpoint on the nbdbwiki". I'm not aware of anything else apart from blazegraph for wikidata.

Got it, feel free to close the task, then. I wish this was possible, but I understand the reasons, so no problem. Thank you for everything! ^^
