@RhinosF1 Hello RhinosF1! How does it work? I saw here in other comments that it was just using Datadump. Then I went into special: datadump and downloaded a .xml file Is that all? What if I download in image is the same thing? And how do I restore? Have a basic explanation or link showing how to do the whole process from scratch?
That would give you a backup of pages.
What if I download in image is the same thing?
That will give you a copy of images on your wiki
And how do I restore?
Ask the sysadmin of your wiki to use importDump.php and importImages.php
Have a basic explanation or link showing how to do the whole process from scratch?
https://phabricator.miraheze.org/phame/post/view/8/miraheze_launches_self_requested_dumps/ is the best I can find
That's all you need.
Whoever operates the backend. Currently that's Miraheze Staff but if you moved host it would change.
And how do I run the scripts?
Depends on your exact setup but through wherever you would run all other commands.
How to use importDump.php and importImages.php?
They are Mediawiki Maintenance Scripts. You run them in the console.
