Help! Users lost edit rights on nenawiki.org.

Description

When I added the Delete right to our Editors group using the "Manage this wiki's permissions" function, the Editors lost their right to edit.

I set up another group to try. Editors2 is in the "Groups you cannot change" column on the User Rights page and I cannot assign it to a user.

Our editors can't edit. Help.

You’ve set most namespaces to require edit-content-pages but only admins have it.

edit-talkpages is on nenamebers only

All I did was to add "delete" right to the editors group. Then stuff broke. As far as I know I didn't change namespaces. In fact, I don't know where to do that.

I did try to add edit-content-pages to the editors group but didn't see it in this page: https://nenawiki.org/wiki/Special:ManageWiki/permissions/editor#mw-section-unassigned

...unless it is called editcontentmodel there.

So, what do I need to do?

The relation of namespace settings to permissions and your "Manage this wiki's permissions" functions are not clear to me.

Is there documentation somewhere that explains:

  • "Manage this wiki's permissions"
  • Namespace settings
  • The "Group Assignments" page on "Manage a wiki"

Who can edit LS.php to get us going again?

It sounds like I need to review the namespace settings to be sure we have the correct configuration.
