@SoyokoAnis what extension specifically are you requesting? Vague descriptions of desired functions are hard to follow - it is easier if you can provide the name of the extension from MediaWiki.org that you seek.
Whenever I need to change the site for something I'll have Maintenance mode to close the site put a notice then open it whenever I finish.
@SoyokoAnis Extension:Maintenance is declined as an extension as it provides access to database scrips that only system administrators can run. However, if you need any maintenance scripts run on your wiki, you may contact any member of Site Reliability Engineering and they will run them for you. If you need to temporarily "close" the site to editing etc, you can use the ProtectSite extension to lockdown all pages, which can be enabled via Special:ManageWiki/extensions
It is not clear what exactly the maintenance extension has to do with "Point and Shop" system.
Sadly, we cannot, and will not support the ext you requested, as it can pose security risks, as well as the ability to run the scripts is limited to Miraheze Site Reliability Engineering
Zppix beat me to the closing of the task... however, as I noted above, if you need/want to temporarily disable editing or other actions across your wiki, you may use the ProtectSite extension (can be found in Special:ManageWiki/extensions) to do so.
Alternatively, you can go to Special:ManageWiki/permissions and remove the edit permission from all user groups except a specific one (such as sysop/administrators). This will accomplish the same thing.
I didn't want to break my wiki or create risks for it.
I apologize for wasting your time.
Unfortunately, that's not possible. You can use MediaWiki:Sitenotice to make a notice appear at the top of every page, but unless you temporarily make your wiki private and then put the notice on the main page, it is not possible for everyone to suddenly not see anything except a notice.
Site Notice is not an extension. Rather, you can go to the page titled MediaWiki:Sitenotice on your wiki, and whatever you write on that page will be visible to all users at the top of every page. After writing a new sitenotice though, you need to go to MediaWiki:Sitenotice_id and increase the number on that page by one (i.e. if it says 0, it needs to say 1, and so on).
