Hi, can I have MP3 file uploads enabled. I know you mentioned it had been done before but I tried doing it just now and I cannot upload that file type and it's really quite important for my wiki (although rest assured each file is less than a MB). I also would like to be able to play MP3 files on the wiki and is it safe to assume TimedMediaHandler can enable this, as playback is also quite important. Many thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, the extension has not been maintained since 2014 and is therefore declined for security reasons.

You can try using TimedMediaHandler or Widgets.

I have enabled the uploading of MP3 files via Special:Upload. Hope that's what you needed.

Yes enabling TimedMediaHandler should allow MP3 playback.
