Videojeux4 added a project: Configuration.

Please send us the webhook via tech[at]miraheze[dot]org

Thank you so much! I just sent the webhook via email to that email address.

Thank you! I just tried testing it out and it didn't work. Is there a waiting period or something on this?

Thanks!

It should be working. Could you please try again?

I just tested it again, it did not work. I changed the roles so that anyone could post in the webhook channel even.

I resent via email the webhooks along with some screenshots confirming how things are set up on my end, I feel like maybe it's something I did or didn't do? For instance, do I have to create a Discord role for the notification bot in advance?

Thank you for your help, sorry for the inconvenience!

@Edgard I'm really not sure why it's not working, as I double checked the configuration and I don't see anything wrong. Could you please try to delete this webhook and create a new one? That might help.

@Reception123 Thank you! I just sent the new webhook URL.

@Edgard I've updated it with the new webhook, hopefully this one should work.

Doesn't seem to be working again. :( No worries. I'm not sure what's causing this, so I think I'll give up on this for now.

Thanks for your help.

It should've worked when @Reception123 added it. It's possible that the webhook is discordapp.com rather than discord.com or your server is not setup correctly.

All of them are discordapp.

Perhaps @Paladox has an idea

I thought that when you added mine it didn't work until you changed the webhook from discordapp.com to discord.com.

other way around :)

@Paladox any idea why this is apparently not working?

@Edgard is this still not working/do you still need assistance with it?

@Universal_Omega Sadly it still doesn't work. I deleted the webhook and recreated it, nothing. Do I need to create the bot role ahead of time or does that get created automatically? I'm not sure where this went wrong. We can abandon it for now.

Can I have your Discord ID? (Only if you feel comfortable giving it)

@Edgard what's the new web hook? Please send to tech[at]miraheze.org.

@Edgard I would also like to point out the correct steps you need to do for creation of the webhook do you get it right and get a correct version to them:

  • Open your Server Settings "Integrations" tab
  • Click the "View Webhooks" button
  • Click "New Webhook"
  • Make sure you select the correct channel to send your wiki activity to from the channel drop-down
  • Click on "Copy Webhook URL"
  • Send that copied url to tech@miraheze.org
  • Make sure to never delete the webhook or it'll stop working.

Of course - I am @eddyplolz#1987.

I just followed every single step here to create a new webhook. I just sent the new webhook to tech@miraheze.org under "New Webhook for Edgard".

@Paladox perhaps you could deal with it this time as I've tried two hooks and they didn't work when I did it.

Resolving as presumed fixed (no response). Please reopen if still not fixed.

It's still not fixed, but I've given up. We can close this out.
