For greater clarity and context on what @SHEKH has attempted, please see this discussion on my Meta user talk page. The user has apparently tried clearing their cookies and logging out and logging into their SHEIKH account; however, that does not seem to be the issue, so assistance from system administrators is appreciated.

I've not seen this message before. It doesn't look like the user/pass wrong one unless theirs some translations involved that are mucking it up.

@SHEKH Have you also tried clearing your saved passwords, then re-typing your username and password into the login screen? It's possible your web browser has saved the incorrect login credentials. Thanks

@SHEKH: just to confirm, it's only your personal wiki that's affected and your account.

If it is a 1 user : 1 wiki issue then we think we have a possible cause. Someone will investigate this evening.

Claiming. I will begin investigative work within an hour or so.

This work has now started.

For tracking purposes: https://github.com/wikimedia/mediawiki/blob/6978577273048ca9a32baaa285d4270d6e860e6a/includes/user/UserNameUtils.php#L181 returns false for 'SHEIKH', but https://github.com/wikimedia/mediawiki/blob/6978577273048ca9a32baaa285d4270d6e860e6a/includes/user/UserNameUtils.php#L183 returns true, so I presume SHEIKH ended up being in the reserved names list.

Log entry for shekhwiki: "CentralAuthSessionProvider::provideSessionInfo: username <user> is not usable on this wiki"

You should now be able to login.

$wgHAWelcomeWelcomeUsername defaulted to your wiki's sitename which was also your username. This can't be the same as an existing username though much like AutoCreateCaegoryUser.

I've set this to 'HAWelcome' for now but you can ask myself or a steward to change it to something else if you prefer.

Sorry for the delay.

Yes, the best place to request any future change(s) to the $wgHAWelcomeWelcomeUsername variable would be Stewards' noticeboard (on Meta) now that this task has been resolved.

Thanks to everyone who investigated. :)
