Special:Version/Credits Shows "edit source" Link on snapwikiwiki
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

As reported by @GrahamSH on Discord, there are "edit source" links on Special:Version/Credits on snapwikiwiki. Clicking them does not actually do anything (aside from appending additional URL parameters, that is) but it would still be good to have these misleading links removed. Thank you.

You could hide it with CSS.

Yes but I want to know why those links are appearing and a CSS hack might not work for all skins.

A CSS hack if used correctly would work on all skins, but I understand your want to know why it happens, it's likely an extension or something. It could probably be reported upstream even.

Skins get to change CSS class and ID names and that is where the problem lies. And yes, reporting and fixing this upstream would be very good.

Caused by the Paragraph-based Edit Conflict Interface extension.

My mistake, it's the Header Footer extension that causes this actually.

I tried disabling it on test3 and that didn't seem to fix it.

It worked for me on test3. Had to purge cache though.

Upstream: https://github.com/enterprisemediawiki/HeaderFooter/issues/28

Unfortunately, I have to say it is not too likely that this would be resolved anytime by upstream.
