Description

The AdvancedSearch is very useful, but it does not work on Miraheze because it depends on CirrusSearch, something not available for us currently.
According to Reception123, there have been talks about implementing CirrusSearch in some way in the future, but this is not a priority and will take a very long time to decide. In the meanwhile, the panel "Advanced Search" on the search interface provided by the extension is basically useless in this situation and could be removed, if possible.

While technically speaking, the extension is "useless" in this state, I don't know if it should be removed completely (for now), because it does not provide literally any different functionality without CirrusSearch.

Unless there is a configuration for it, I don't think we can really do this.

Unfortunately, I can't see any configuration to disable the panel. If you are really sure that the extension really doesn't add anything without CirrusSearch then we should probably remove it for the time being.

It works without CirrusSearch, just some of it doesn't I guess.

If there are some functions that work without CS then we'll have to decline this as there doesn't seem to be a setting allowing someone to disable the parts that need CS

as far as I can see, the only fields that work without CS are the search itself and the selection of namespace, both of which are already present on the default search interface.

On second thought I still think this extension can be useful even without CirrusSearch functionality so declining for now. If it's really should be removed then I guess this can be reopened.
