Your custom domain: worldsanskrit.net

Do you want Let's Encrypt: Yes

CNAME entry has already been created on the custom domain pointing to "mw-lb.miraheze.org" as mentioned in the documentation for custom domains, but it might take some time to go into effect.

Please let us know if anything more needs to be done from our side. Also, please let us know how to be able to use our new custom domain and make sure that users actually get forwarded to "samskritavyakaranam.miraheze.org" when they enter "worldsanskrit.net" into their browser's address bar.

Hi,

Sorry, i haven't worked on domain administration / configuration before, so i'm not exactly sure how to proceed.

This new domain, worldsanskrit.net was bought from Google domains, so i got access to the settings through the console on domain.google.com. All i have done up till now was to create a CNAME entry pointing to "mw-lb.miraheze.org", as per the documentation provided on https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/Custom_domains.

Please guide me with the further steps i need to take.

Perhaps you could provide us with a screenshot or a text copy/paste of your CNAME set up so we can see what's not right.

I have done this now:

Oh, I see what the problem is. You requrested 'worldsanskrit.net' while you pointed 'www.worldsanskrit.net' to us. Which one would you prefer? And also, you don't need to do both Nameservers and CNAME, you should choose one or the other. If you want to use 'worldsanskrit.net' (without www) you might need to choose nameservers.

It would be good if users are able to type in worldsanskrit.net without the www and go to the site, so i'll remove the CNAME entry as Google won't let me put one in without the www.
