A long time ago, I was alerted that Freenom is/was not a trustworthy domain provider (with free domains specifically), with multiple people reporting that their domain expired way before the expiration date and sometimes redirected to adult websites.
I don't know if this is true, or if this ever happened on Miraheze, but I will test myself. If I spot any "misbehaviour", I will alert SRE to take an action against Freenom.

I mean in the sense of blocking new domain requests made on Freenom. After all, if these claims about the provided turns out to be true, this could bring some problems to Miraheze.

@Lakelimbo Yeah, I don't think that's the case at all with Freenom. I think their Terms of Service has provisions where they may suspend service to free Freenom domains that produce an extraordinarily high number of DNS requests or something, but this would be very rare. I suspect for the vast majority of Freenom free domains, there's no issues.

As a personal aside, if I had a massively popular website/wiki, I would be upgrading my free Freenom domain name to a paid one, or even migrating to a different domain.

In short, I think Lakehub will be totally fine. :)

Yes, I have never personally seen any evidence for this, but if you search about the company you will definitely see a lot of complaints. But in any case, I don't think this will happen here but if it does I will report immediately to the SRE.

Thanks. Indeed, if we did see evidence of some sort of inappropriate behavior we would consider taking action against such domains but until now everything has been fine
