is there a way to auto-redirect URL calls without /wiki/ forward as if it were typed?

Description

for example
https://meta.miraheze.org/Miraheze
to
https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/Miraheze

I always get a 404 error when I forget to type this and doing /wiki/ each time when manually typing is hard to remember and tedious.

In contrast for example wikia/fandom seems to have that feature automatically apply to all pages, for example:

https://community.fandom.com/Community_Central
to
https://community.fandom.com/wiki/Community_Central

This would be cool to have here too but I'm not sure how hard it would be to implement. Are there downsides?

This would be difficult to implement, I believe. I think (for mediawiki sites) we'd only have to worry about /wiki and /w, but I'd be worried about static.miraheze.org and probably a few other things.

We could alternatively just add a 404 page that has "Did you mean: /wiki/<page_name>" here like Wikipedia does.

This seems like a good idea to pursue rather than automatic forwarding.

As long as we make sure to escape the path
