That's okay, as long as this task doesn't just stay open until we actually migrate that's ok.

We can migrate test in about 10 days time. It's really not that far away.

Is it too early to cut a MW 1.38 branch, or does MW 1.38 have to be out first?

The branch was cut on Friday for us. We're cutting it slightly before this time for various reasons on our end. 1.38 is about 8 weeks off release when the branch is cut by upstream.

Community notified with *lots* of anticipation for change. It's a minor change which will likely not have much user-facing impact but I thought a notice would be nice for those who use it. I will repost this announcement once the upgrade draws near (say, 2-3 weeks from the upgrade?).
