Printing splits lines at page breaks
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

Printing with any of the available options, including "Printable version" / Save as PDF splits text lines at the page breaks. Is this a new problem with 1.38?

This problem does not seem to affect printing on MediaWiki pages. For example: MediaWiki 1.38

WikiPedia printing is also OK but I noticed that both MediaWiki and WikiPedia are both running 1.39.0-wmf.17 (27d58b4).

Hello, can you please change the viewing permissions for the mentioned file so anyone can view it. Currently only you can. Thank you!

Is this still an issue?

Yes. I thought I made the image visable. No response, yet.

The problem persists. Can anyone see the image?

Hi, what's your wiki?

Tried that. It did not fix the problem. There was only a minor difference in output - one less line under logo. I noticed that the MediaWiki:print.css was last edited in October 2021, before the Vector (2022) that we're using was introduced.

Does "Printable version" work correctly for you on any other site? You would see the problem on large pages that would take several pages to print. You don't need to actually print to save to PDF to see the problem. It is evident in the preview.

I've discovered that this problem occurs when trying to print any web page in Windows 10 and is probably not a MediaWiki issue.
