Description

I have a problem, I unknowingly deleted a lot of user groups and can not restore to the default user groups. How can I do reset to default only user groups or can you help me with this?

We can run a script that will reset all permissions to the default assignments. Is this OK?

All permissions on user groups? If yes - ok.
And this restore deleted user groups? - If too yes - activate this script, please.

I've now run the script. Let us know if you have any more issues.

But, 'editors' usergroups didnt recreated, can you restore this group? This group was created as standard on the wiki.
And, how to add other usergroups to page protect system?{F1860166}

There is no "editors" group as far as I know. Did you mean the "Users" group or "Members" group?

No. I mean... Redactors... Editors?
Even if they don't exist.
What about the second question?

That should be checked first, as it does not recreate/check for permissions/groups added by extensions I don't think. That is only done when the extension is enabled if I remember correctly, which may be wrong.

You can re-create any user groups you need to via Special:ManageWiki/permissions, but as said above, the Editors user group is actually something that does exist, added by an extension, and may not have been recreated when the script was run, if it was indeed added by the extension. Running the script also deletes all user groups not added by default, which seems to be the case here.

Okay. Question about roles are solved for me. However, how do I add roles to the "Edit Protected" system?
I attached a screenshot above.
I mean, create function "editsemiprotected" or like it.
("Editing pages protected as 'Allowed only to auto-approved members'")

Do you mean (auto) confirmed users? If so, you can create a new user group at Special:ManageWiki/permissions with the right to edit semi-auto protected pages, and then auto promote them for auto-confirmed users.

No. Right now the page can be protected for three specific roles, how do I increase this list?

As far as I know, this is impossible. I looked through user rights and it doesn't seem like there's an option for this.

If I am understanding correctly, it is possible, just needs changes to LocalSettings.php.

And how do I edit this?

You have to tell us which user rights you would like added, and we would do it.
