On and off, Miraheze experiences newly created bot accounts whose only activity is logging in through Meta, joining Phabricator, and leaving an insubstantial, cookie-cutter spamvert/bio with an even more insubstantial spam link--and that's about it. (Not to mention their on-wiki activity is practically nonexistent.)

The latest episode, which took place on Wednesday and Thursday morning, involved a slew of Indian-based accounts (whose handles I will not tag for obvious reasons):

• "amanadmec"
• "gauravpant"
• "sumitkumar"
• "RiyaSharma"
• "NehaADMEC"
• "Urvashi01"
• "tilaksharma"

...all but one of which/whom are pitching services in Delhi.

If the Phab team can delete those "About" sections, or trace their IP origin through CheckUser on Meta--or both--then so much the better. (I remember when Referata used to have an onslaught of "NTSAMR" userpages for that alone...)
