You can do this by submitting a pull request to https://github.com/miraheze/mw-config and changing LocalWiki.php

Trying Universal_Omega's suggestion -
After making these setting changes, I could not see all of the files on kb.nena.org from ingkb.nena.org. Should all existing files be visible?
Sat, Mar 23
This is now done.
This was now added to Special:ManageWiki/namespaces
This has now been changed to 7 days for your wiki.
This can be done in Special:ManageWiki/settings using the configs, $wmgSharedUploadBaseUrl, $wmgSharedUploadClientDBname, $wmgSharedUploadDBname, and $wmgEnableSharedUploads.

We don't usually allow wikis to "reserve" a domain for themselves and so far to my knowledge redirects have only been approved when wikis moved URL.

Maybe 7 days? We don't upload that many files, maybe 0-3 files per day on average. However, occasionally we do get a massive spike if we haven't been uploading in a while and there's a huge backlog.
What would you like it to be set too?

Rename complete

So there is only 1 Wiki on Miraheze covering that topic
icarly.miraheze.org does not exist on Miraheze

This has been set as a conflict since the very beginning of ManageWiki but I'm not sure why is they were enabled together manually before that so this can almost certainly be done.
I'll test this on Mirabeta. If it doesn't blow up, I'll change config so that both can be enabled at the same time.

@LNandMS In what way would having the wiki URL have a 'wiki' at the end make it easier to search? As for duplicate wikis, that would not happen anyway as the Content Policy states "Wikis with the same or a substantially similar topic to another existing Miraheze wiki are not allowed."

As the founding admin of the wiki, I confirm that Labster has permission to make this request.

Hmmm, their docs only mention this setting on the Client section, it could probably be undefined on a WikibaseRepo wiki, where there is also no WikibaseClient config to query.
I have no idea about Wikibase. I'll try my best at finding a solution for this however.

Haha, I'm just a Programmer, so I only wrote what I think would be the steps involved to try to make this ticket straightforward to close out. This is the most I've ever looked at configuring MediaWiki.

Should be fixed
Hey, since it seems you know your way around configuring MediaWiki, you may be interested in knowing that our MediaWiki configuration is public, available at a GitHub repo called mw-config. If you'd like and have a GitHub account, you can submit a Pull Request with your desired changes there. Otherwise, someone from SRE will handle this soon.

I've been told now that https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/Infoboxes exists so I think what I'll do is add a message saying:
"Please note that importing infoboxes from Wikipedia is unlikely to work as expected, see [[M:Infoboxes|this page]] for more details"
I'd be glad to write an interface message for that but my main issue is that we don't in fact have an fully comprehensive FAQ explanation and other guides for using templates and infoboxes.

This should now be fixed.

Merged.
It may be already the new default in the extension, but since it is getting overwritten by our LocalSettings, any new default settings won't go into effect.

Thanks so much! That was quick.
Jan 15 2024
Regarding wgCitizenPortalAttach, it is not listed anywhere on the mediawiki.org page for the extension, nor the skin's skin.json, so it's not just deprecated, it straight up doesn't work.

@OrangeStar Thank you!
https://github.com/miraheze/mw-config/pull/5437. In the PR the right is called editextendedconfirmedprotected.
Jan 12 2024
Hi, sorry about that. This should be fixed now.
Jan 11 2024
Merged :)
Note to SRE: setupStore was ran and doesn't fix the issue.

You'll need to create a new $wmg variable and guard the hook with it. Add that variable to ManageWiki.
@RhinosF1 How do you do this with ManageWiki? Does it allow to run code as well as setting variables? I don't see this used anywhere on mw-config.
I've submitted https://github.com/miraheze/mw-config/pull/5430, @Creeper19472 check that it works now pls.
Jan 5 2024
@Tbodt This is already in Special:ManageWiki/settings.
