It was definitely possible back in 2020. Though the expired rights haven't been cleaned out since 2020. And unlike 2020, updating usergroups with Special:ManageWiki/permissions doesn't automatically clean up expired rights. I used to null edit usergroups to purge expired rights. But null editing usergroups is no longer possible. Much less is purging expired rights using this method.

CommentStreams conflicts with Moderation. So I can't reenable it. I don't understand why though because I can't see anything that would prevent those extensions from existing alongside one another. Maybe I should request that one of the two extensions is enabled, while the other is hard enabled. I never chose to disable CommentStreams. It just happened. So if I could get it hard enabled that would be good.

What about the permission name be (editblacklisted) and the associated rights message be 'MediaWiki:Right-editblacklisted', but for the protection setting name be 'tech' and the protection setting message be 'MediaWiki:Protect-level-tech'.
I'm talking about the name of the message. Not the text in the message. So no, I can't.
Is there any chance of changing 'MediaWiki:Protect-level-editblacklisted' to 'MediaWiki:Protect-level-tech' or is that not possible?
Thanks! 😀
The custom permission doesn't seem to be there. Though it could be because I'm trying to add it to an already existing usergroup. As the 'tech' usergroup already exists.
So yeah. I wanted the name of the permission to be 'editblacklisted' and I wanted the name of the associated protection setting to be 'tech'.

Fandom never had an AjaxPoll namespace. I preceded all of those pages with AjaxPoll: to show that they are AjaxPoll pages.

Here is the special page that confirms that a newsletter has been registered. But I really want to get rid of it. https://csydes.miraheze.org/wiki/Special:Newsletters

Yeah, I was thinking of using it in namespaces that are equivalent to forums. Not in the user, article, or project namespaces.
Oct 4 2020
If it helps, I only intended on enabling the Flow extension for specific namespaces. I was intending to keep it disabled apart from the namespaces that I explicitly want to enable it for.

And what about UploadWizard?
Sep 15 2020
I've noticed this exact problem. And it is really annoying. I hope to see it fixed as soon as possible. https://csydes.miraheze.org/wiki/Special:ListGroupRights For the first group on the list.

Not sure whether this changes anything. But while these two permissions may be equivalent to CheckUser permissions, I wasn't requesting either of the permissions with "checkuser" in their titles. And my understanding is that the "abusefilter-privatedetails" permissions are more restrained in terms of access.

Yes.

That's not the point. I'm trying to upload comments that have "Poll:" in front of them. But because of the restrictions on the poll namespace, I can't upload them. Even if I upload them directly to another title, it still refuses to let me do it. Which is why I require assistance from someone that has the ability to bypass these restrictions and upload this stuff from the server side.

The issue was fixed ages ago. But it wasn't closed since I forgot to mention that the issue was fixed. The culprit was DISPLAYTITLE: which was enabled through ManageWiki.

I need help with uploading everything that I said that I needed help uploading.

Restrictions are still okay for most groups. But I would appreciate it if they could be removed from a couple of more restricted usergroups.
Feb 14 2020
I'd rather not "null edit" the usergroups. Especially since I don't even have (managewiki) access on one of those two wikis. Doing so would flood the ManageWiki log.
Feb 9 2020
I thought I answered that already. Yeah, I did.

What question? How do I reopen this task? I didn't realise that you were waiting for a response. I was waiting for the URL to be changed.
Feb 6 2020
Yes. I was hoping perhaps they could be imported from the server side. Or if there was some trick that can allow you to import them directly with the "Talk:Ajax Poll:" prefix instead of the "Talk:Poll:" prefix, because the latter prefix currently is preventing all attempts at importing the comments from being impossible.

Also it seems that The Sims Wiki isn't affected by the issue with redirect titles being replaced by the names of the pages the redirects point to, but C.Syde's Wiki is I'm starting to think that it must have something to do with one of the system messages that I edited. The question is, which system message?
Jan 25 2020
Nope. Nothing has changed. Isn't it possible to change the global settings so that Administrators and Chat Moderators are able to revoke and reinstate user's abilities to use chat?
Yeah, that's why I had to go here in the first place. Since I'd done everything I could think of. And it still hasn't worked.

I've just tried it again. It still doesn't work.
I have attempted to use Special:Import for that. But it doesn't let me import it. Because when I import it, it says that I can't import things under those titles.
They are listed by alphabetical order on Special:ListGroupRights. But not on Special:ManageWiki/permissions.

Well in that case I want them listed in this order:
Nov 21 2019
I want them to be in that order in most parts of the wiki. But I want the places where they are currently sorted alphabetically to be retained. If that makes sense. I was hesitant to answer that question because I wasn't sure how to answer.
