PDF rendering is becoming a critical factor with our users. An update on status would be appreciated. Thanks.

OK. I don't know the correct protocol or etiquette to follow here. Do I change this task to request installation of Proton or do I abandon this task and start a new one to request Proton? Put another way, what is the best way to get a better PDF rendering capability?

John, does this mean that Miraheze is up-to-date on the PDF rendering changes from MediaWiki on June 4?

Error messages like this confuse, annoy, and discourage many of our users. Can we fix it?

Thanks. I didn't know that it is not supported on private sites. I was going to test it there before enabling it on the public site.
Both are indicated in the title. What's the correct way to identify the site(s)?

This URL can be successfully opened in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Internet Explorer without any indication of a problem.
This is a little bewildering. The HTTP Response is clearly not "No Response." It looks like there is a response and it is more like an "SSL Error".
Two of the five links shown in the "rotten links" status page have always been good links.

I guess I did not understand this on the "Show link statistics page":
Update... It looks like some time today, (can't be sure) the link status was updated. Did you guys do something?

FWIW, I have not used the automatic citoid feature. The code for references was originally generated by the pandoc utility in the conversion from a Word document. I did use VisualEditor to edit the content and name of the references. That is when (I believe) the unwanted additional edits were added.

FYI... The edits were made with VisualEditor. I don't know what generated the unwanted additional edit like this
][[Go-To Handbook Draft 1/15/2019#cite%20note-29|<span class="mw-reflink-text"></span>]
or what it is supposed to do.

Feel free to try editing Sandbox to test patrolling. https://ndg.nenawiki.org/wiki/Sandbox#Text

Our current challenge is to get the user database from the collaboration site host.

So how can I change his user rights by myself? I managed to do it after getting him to browse to ndg.nenawiki after logging on to nenawiki.
The global link [[mh:nenawiki:authentication]] works on both sites. As you indicated, the search function does not work. We would like the search function to work, if possible. Should the "standard" interwiki link work? I tried [[nenawiki:authentication]] and it does not work. It tries to create a new page, instead.
Thanks, Void. Where are the details about how to do this? Do I have to enable and configure an extension?
Jan 13 2019
I want to be able to insert internal hyperlinks in ndg.nenawiki that point to pages in nenawiki.
Jan 11 2019
Something happened and it is working OK now. I did notice last night an update error that mentioned a MediaWiki upgrade causing a locked database. Is everything stable now?

We have hundreds of users. Please explain your part of the email solution. Without any import mechanism, the only way I imagined we could add them is to send our users an email with the link to the create account page where they would have to register. Then, an administrator would have to manually add them to the NDGUsers group after manually verifying that they are really members. That seems like a lot of unnecessary work.

I see this problem frequently on nenawiki. Second attempt seems to always succeed.

The (now generic) file nenalogo.png has been uploaded.
Let's do that. I thought of it, but the current name would not have fit the upload. I'll upload the file with the name nenalogo.png and if you'll use that name, we'll update it as needed. Thanks.
It works. Thanks. Still curious about the "local rendering" on farms... Except for that question, this task can be closed. Thanks again.
Is "local" rendering of one time zone another characteristic (limitation?) of a farm?
According to https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Timezone, the local PC time setting is supposed to be the method "MediaWiki does by default". But the default on Miraheze seems to be UTC, instead.

We'll look at it and maybe try it on another wiki to see how it works. We'll get back to you.

Login successful. What broke? Something we did?

I understand the possible wait and wanted to express our interest to encourage the review.
Could we create another account to use while you work this problem? Or would that fail, too?
Jun 26 2017
We would also be interested in PdfBook for NENAWiki.

The file upload failure does not appear to be limited to "~2M". It seems to be constant. Is that a different problem? Have not been able to upload any files in at least a day after many attempts.
Not working for file upload. Tried twice...
