Since we no longer use Mail like this I'd assume this would no longer be an issue.

We've disabled the account but requires a member attribute so we left it there and will remove it when another one comes along to replace.

Since as mentioned above, it now Discards the majority of spam email, this is less-necessary. Therefore, closing as resolved. If you still want to go the other route as well, please do reopen it.

While this wasn't necessarily the initial task here, I did do https://github.com/miraheze/puppet/pull/3113 to reduce the overall spam sent by discarding spam with a level of 7 or higher from SpamAssassin.

This has been fixed. This was generating around 1440 failures a day - in order to meet the error threshold with these numbers, we'd need to have sent 144000 emails a day, or 100 a minute. As we don't operate at these volumes, this was always going to be the case.

I don't see Paladox not being opposed, so until we have an answer from him I'd say we should wait.

I don't know. Technically this falls under infrastructure, I just decided to do it because I could, I think paladox said to raise to 24 hours needed some discussion so potentially needs EM approval here.

The default setting (and as it was prior to that PR) is 10 minutes @Dmehus

I've also had some experience with this which is why I went ahead with the PR.

It sets it to one hour.
